Paul DeAngelis has withdrawn his name from the 2020 General Election as councilman for the Borough of Bellmawr. He will fulfill his current term until the end of this year, confirmed Bellmawr Borough Clerk, Frani Wright via email on August 20, 2020.

The County Committee of the Organized Bellmawr Democrat Club has selected Johann Fina to replace Councilman DeAngelis on the ballot for the General Election, Ms. Wright said.

Ms. Fina will be running with incumbent Councilman Jim D’Angelo for two seats on Bellmawr Council.

Opposing Ms. Fina and Mr. D’Angelo for Bellmawr Council are independent candidates, Bill Groff and Sandy Valdez.

We reached Mr. DeAngelis on August 21, 2020 for a comment. He said: “I would like to thank all of the residents for supporting me while I was on council. It has been an honor to serve.”

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
