The Boards of Virtua Health & Maxis Health System, an entity of Trinity Health, have announced that a definitive agreement has been signed in order to move forward with the acquisition by Virtua of the Lourdes Health System.

Maxis Health System, an entity of Trinity Health, and Virtua Health have entered into a non-binding Letter of Intent regarding the possible acquisition by Virtua of The Lourdes Health System, including Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden and Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County.
Acquisition will bring together resources of Cooper University Health Care, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University with Trinity Health’s Acute Care Hospitals and Nationally-Recognized Cardiac Program.
