Royal Farms Second S.J. Location Opens in Bellmawr Jan. 22

Royal Farms’ second South Jersey location opens in Bellmawr at midnight on January 22. The store will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and is the former location of a long closed Walgreens located at the corner of the Black Horse Pike and Browning Road.

In July, 2016, SJO was the first to report that Royal Farms was coming to Bellmawr.

I had the opportunity to visit the store on January 19 and spoke with store leader, George Stafford, as he and his team were busy working on final details in advance of the store’s opening.

Stafford said they are “thrilled” to be in Bellmawr. “I currently have 62 people on staff and they are chomping at the bit to get open and be part of the community and help out. We are excited to be in Bellmawr and to bring the town a different option rather than the ‘same old same old.'”

Royal Farms opened in Magnolia in late 2017 and is known for its “World Famous Fried Chicken.”

Work continues at the Route 130 Gloucester City location. SJO will provide a definite opening date for that store once confirmation is received.

Ribbon Cutting For Magnolia Royal Farms

Royal Farms celebrated the Grand Opening of its Magnolia store with a ribbon cutting on December 4, 2017. The Magnolia store is Royal Farms’ first South Jersey location.

John Kemp, Royal Farms President & CEO, was joined by Magnolia Mayor Betty Ann Cowling-Carson and other local officials.

Kemp said: “We are very excited about coming to New Jersey and contrary to what everybody says – New Jersey is a great place to do business.”

Carson said: “We’ve been waiting for this for a long time. We think this is going to be very beneficial to the economic development of this area.”

At the ribbon cutting, Royal Farms presented donations to the American Legion, the Magnolia Fire Department, and the Adam Taliaferro Foundation.

Progress is continuing at the Bellmawr and Gloucester City Royal Farms locations. Both of those stores are slated to open in early 2018.

First Look Inside Magnolia Royal Farms; Bellmawr & Gloucester City Locations Slated to Open Early 2018

It was a nice treat to be invited to the Soft Opening of the Magnolia Royal Farms on Halloween. SJO got an exclusive look at the first Royal Farms to open in South Jersey before the store officially opens it doors at the stroke of midnight on November 2. The store will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

We also had our first taste of Royal Farms’ “World Famous Fried Chicken” and it certainly lived up to our expectations! Perfectly seasoned and juicy (not greasy), I enjoyed my two piece white meat meal with a side of mashed potatoes and a soft, fresh dinner roll.

I also ordered a side of thick cut french fries to split with my daughter, who was more in the mood for the chicken tenders. She paired her chicken tenders — that also came with a roll — with mac and cheese. She said her meal was “really good.”

During the Soft Opening, all of the Royal Farms team members were upbeat, friendly, excited, and looking forward to being officially open. “Come back and see us again soon,” one smiling cashier said.

Progress also continues at the Bellmawr and Gloucester City Royal Farms locations. Both of those stores are slated to open in early 2018.

SJO will provide more details on those locations when an official grand opening date is announced.
