The following statement on behalf of Marylue R. Wigglesworth was issued on December 29, 2022 by her attorneys Jonathan E. Diego, Esq. and Melissa Rosenblum, Esq.

Jonathan E. Diego, Esq.. (Diego Law Firm, LLC) and Melissa Rosenblum, Esq. (Law Offices of Melissa Resenblum) have been retained and will serve as co-counsel for Ms. Marylue Wigglesworth.

First and foremost, our client strongly maintains her innocence.

A tragedy occurred on Christmas evening. Our legal team continues to investigate the events of that night. However, there is no dispute that Ms. Wigglesworth was the victim of domestic violence.

Due to her husband’s assault that night Mr. Wigglesworth experienced significant bruising and other injuries.

Unfortunately, Christmas night was not the first time Ms. Wigglesworth was a victim of her husband’s significant violence.

Melissa Rosenblum, Esq. and Jonathan Diego, Esq. have assembled an outstanding legal team to ensure Ms. Wigglesworth’s rights are protected, and that justice prevails following this heartbreaking and sad event.

There have been many preliminary news reports of the disastrous events that occurred Christmas evening.

However, Ms. Wigglesworth is innocent of the charge against her, and the media and public are asked to respect her presumption of innocence.

The facts of that heart-rending evening will unfold in a court of law, not the court of public opinion. It is also requested that the media and public respect the privacy of Ms. Wigglesworth and her husband’s families.
