Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man on Sunday in Camden City, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
On October 15, 2023, at approximately 12:46 p.m., Camden County Police responded to 7th Street and Bailey Street for a ShotSpotter activation. Officers arrived at the scene and located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, and he was pronounced deceased at approximately 12:58 p.m.

The victim was identified as Jose Rivera, 47, of Camden City.
