Burlington Vicinage to Host Mock Trial Program

This year’s program features a complex civil matter with high school students competing against each other as they assume the roles of defendants, attorneys, and witnesses.


The Burlington Vicinage, in partnership with the Burlington County Bar Association, is hosting the 2023 Mock Trial Competition.

Mock trials will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 31 and will continue Thursday, Feb.2; Tuesday, Feb.7; and Thursday Feb. 9. Finals will be held Wednesday, Feb.15 at the Burlington County Court Facility, 49 Rancocas Rd., Mt. Holly.

Eight Burlington County private and public schools are participating in the competition.

This year’s program features a complex civil matter with high school students competing against each other as they assume the roles of defendants, attorneys, and witnesses.

Superior Court judges and volunteer members of the Burlington County Bar Association will preside over the mock trials, and local attorneys will act as coaches.

Winners of the county finals advance to the regional semifinals, where they will have a chance to advance to the state championship.
