Wakefern Food Corp. Recalls ShopRite Puffin Muffin Banana Nut Muffins

Wakefern Food Corp. is voluntarily recalling its ShopRite Puffin Muffin Banana Nut Muffins due to mislabeling. The product contains wheat and walnuts, known allergens not listed on the label.


The recall impacts 20-ounce containers with the UPC code: 28986300000. The product was sold at Wakefern banners ShopRite and The Fresh Grocer.

“We are advising customers who purchased the recalled product to return it for an immediate refund or replacement,” said Maureen Gillespie, a spokesperson for Wakefern.

To date, there have been no reports of illness associated with this product recall.  

Wakefern has reached out to customers who may have purchased this product to alert them to the recall.
