18-Year-Old Arrested & Charged For Fatal Shooting of Trenton Man in Camden

Billy Corbitt, 18, was taken into custody on July 6, 2023, in Camden by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division.


An arrest has been made and murder charges have been filed against Billy Corbitt, 18, of Camden, in connection with the June 28, 2023 fatal shooting of a Trenton man in Camden.

Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez have announced that Corbitt has been charged with first-degree Murder in the death of 21-year-old Bryan Roberts of Trenton.


On June 28, 2023, at approximately 11:07 p.m., Camden County Police Department Officers responded to Ablett Village in reference to a report of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers located Bryan Roberts who was unresponsive and not breathing.

EMS arrived at the scene and Roberts was found to be deceased.

Corbitt was taken into custody on July 6, 2023, in Camden by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division. He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.

A detention hearing will be scheduled for a future date in Superior Court in Camden.
