Bellmawr Man Arrested On Multiple Charges Including Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault On Two Teenagers & Disarming Police Officer

Bellmawr Police responded to a residence on Troy Ave. this morning for a report of a Burglary.

Police arrived and learned a 29 Bellmawr resident, Edward Lynch, entered a neighbor’s house and attempted to engage in a sexual act with two 13-year-old females.

While Bellmawr Police were attempting to arrest this male, he attempted to disarm a police officer while he was resisting arrest. 

Police took the accused into custody who was later charged and later remanded to Camden County Correctional Facility.

The male also assaulted a Bellmawr EMT who was providing medical attention to him after his arrest.

Edward Lynch was charged with the following:

• 2nd degree Burglary
• 2nd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child
• 3^rd degree Aggravated Assault
• 4th degree Resisting Arrest
• 4th degree Criminal Mischief
• 2^nd degree Disarming a Police Officer
• 1^st degree Attempt Aggravated Sexual Assault

All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
