On October 19, 2017 at aproximately 2:56 p.m,, officers were dispatched to 831 W. Browning Road for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival it was learned that a laundromat employee had suffered wounds inflicted by a sharp instrument and that the suspect had fled the store carrying the cash register, according to the Bellmawr Police Department.
“The victim was tended to by EMS and transported to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. He was reportedly up, speaking and cordial while being interviewed by detectives,” the post stated.

Responding officers immediately established a perimeter and local schools were told to shelter in place. Over the course of the next several hours, and with the help of officers from numerous agencies, a comprehensive search was conducted and strong leads and evidence were recovered.
On October 20, 2017, the Bellmawr Police reported that a suspect has been arrested and will be remanded to Camden County Correctional Facility.
