Boro of Bellmawr Looks to Erect Pole Barn to Protect Police & Fire Equipment

At their regular meeting on November 23, 2020, Bellmawr Council approved on first reading Ordinance #11:20-20, which authorizes the execution of a lease agreement between the Bellmawr Fire and Rescue and the Borough of Bellmawr for the purpose of erecting a pole barn.

The Borough desires to erect a pole barn on property owned by the Bellmawr Fire and Rescue Squad for the joint purpose of housing fire and police vehicles and apparatus.

Bellmawr Fire and Rescue Squad has offered to lease certain property to the Borough “for nominal consideration a metes and bounds description.”

No debt is to be authorized by the enactment and passage of the Ordinance.

The Ordinance will be further considered for final passage after a public hearing at the December 15, 2020 regular meeting of Borough Council.
