CareMount Medical, ProHEALTH NY, Riverside Medical Groups & Urgent Cares Join Together Under New Name: Optum

In July, CareMount, ProHealth, and Riverside announced the linking of three medical groups and urgent cares: CareMount Medical, ProHEALTH NY, and Riverside Medical Groups under one new name: “Optum.”

A recent announcement from Scott D. Hayworth, MD CEO and Market Leader, Optum Tri-State Region and Kevin Conroy, MS, President, Optum Tri-State Region stated:

Teams are diligently working behind the scenes to achieve our vision of creating a comprehensive care experience to meet your health care needs.

The transition to Optum will occur gradually, and ultimately will take several months before it is fully realized.

However, there are exciting changes happening in the coming months that we want to share with you.

Through this transition, above all, we remain focused on our commitment to what really matters – you.

With a high regard for social responsibility and advancing health equity for all, we are dedicated to working with our local communities to remove barriers and provide everyone with equal access to the highest quality care. We’re making health care simpler, smarter, and more efficient for everyone and working to create a healthier world.

This month, you will begin to see a gradual shift with some cosmetic updates in our offices, reflecting our collective presence as Optum across the tri-state region. You will notice bright, new colors in our communications and social media platforms.

In our Riverside New Jersey offices, you will see an updated look and feel with new interior and exterior Optum signage. Later this fall, CareMount New York offices will begin to transition to the Optum signage.

Next month, we’ll launch a completely new tri-state website.

Whether you are at the tip of eastern Long Island, or north in the town of Kingston, New York, or south on the shores of New Jersey, our new website will provide easy to use search tools so you can quickly find one of our 2,100 providers and specialists, 55 urgent cares or any of our nearly 400 building locations.

The new Optum Tri-State website will also offer online scheduling for most of our providers, virtual visits, patient portal access, online bill pay and many new features and enhanced mobile functionality for a convenient, streamlined experience.

We will start to look different, but rest assured that as Optum, our commitment to our patients remains the same.
