Deptford Man Arrested & Charged With Child Porn Offenses

On October 20, John Skubiak, 63, of Deptford Township was arrested at his residence by officers from the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office High-Tech Crimes Unit and charged with second-degree distribution of child pornography and third-degree possession of child pornography, according to a statement released by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s office.

The arrest was made without incident and officers from the Deptford Township Police Department also assisted.

The law enforcement operation included execution of a search warrant at Skubiak’s residence, which was also occupied by a female companion of Skubiak and her two adult children.

Skubiak was turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff s Department and is being held without bail pending a detention hearing.

This ongoing GCPO investigation was conducted in cooperation with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.

All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
