Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man on Sunday afternoon in Camden City, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
On June 25, 2023, at approximately 4:12 p.m., Camden County Police officers heard possible gunfire and received a ShotSpotter activation at the 900 block of Newton Avenue.

Officers were then informed of a victim suffering from a gunshot wound who had arrived at Cooper University Hospital.
The shooting victim was later identified as Daniel Rivera, 27, of Woodlynne. He was pronounced deceased at approximately 11:17 p.m.
The investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
