Four Suspects Arrested & Charged in Connection With Glassboro Double Homicide

Authorities have charged four suspects in connection with a double homicide in Glassboro.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at approximately 9:16 am, Officers from the Glassboro Police Department responded to 23 Warrick Avenue, Glassboro, regarding a check on the well-being of two residents at the property.

Upon arrival, Glassboro Police Department responding Officers discovered 26 year-old Manual Dela Rosa Jr. and 36 year-old Shantal Farrow deceased inside of the residence suffering from apparent gunshots wounds.


An autopsy conducted on August 20, 2020, by Gloucester County Medical Examiner Dr. Gerald Feigin, ruled the cause of death of both victims as gunshot wounds and the manner of death as homicide.

Through follow-up investigation, Detectives from the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and the Glassboro Police Department identified the following suspects, who were charged accordingly:


19 year-old Trenton resident, Devon J. Conover:

  • 2 Counts: Murder
  • 2 Counts: Felony Murder
  • 2 Counts: Conspiracy to commit Murder
  • 2 Counts: Robbery
  • 1 Count: Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
  • 1 Count: Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose

19 year-old Trenton resident, Abdelgadi H. Hassan:

  • 2 Counts: Murder
  • 2 Counts: Felony Murder
  • 2 Counts: Conspiracy to commit Murder
  • 2 Counts: Robbery
  • 1 Count: Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
  • 1 Count: Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose

23 year-old Glassboro resident, Altaifjoe H. Hassan:

  • 2 Counts: Conspiracy to Commit Felony Murder
  • 2 Counts: Conspiracy to commit Murder
  • 2 Counts: Conspiracy to commit Robbery

23 year-old Teaneck resident, Daniel P. Hall:

  • 2 Counts: Murder
  • 2 Counts: Felony Murder
  • 2 Counts: Conspiracy to commit Murder
  • 2 Counts: Robbery
  • 1 Count: Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
  • 1 Count: Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose

All suspects were charged with Conspiracy relating to the above listed crimes.

All suspects are currently in custody and are being held pending detention hearings.

“The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and Glassboro Police Department have concentrated our investigative resources to this case since it occurred. Our Detectives have been actively collecting and analyzing evidence and pursuing investigative leads as they developed. They have worked tirelessly and in partnership with various other law enforcement agencies to identify and arrest the individuals involved in the murders. Their level of competency and commitment to their profession directly led to bringing this senseless act of violence to a quick resolution,” stated Acting Gloucester County Prosecutor Christine A. Hoffman.

This investigation is still active and Detectives believe there are additional witnesses who may provide crucial information in this investigation.

Agencies assisting in the investigation and arrest are the U.S. Marshal’s NY-NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force; the Gloucester County S.W.A.T. Team; Mercer County Sheriff’s Department S.W.A.T. Team; the Gloucester County Emergency Response Team; the New Jersey State Police; the Trenton Police Department; the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office; the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office; the NJSP Real-Time Crime Center South; the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, the Galloway Township Police Department; and the Ventnor City Police Department; Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Morris County Sheriff’s Department; and the Dover Police Department.

Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a trial at which the defendants have all of their rights as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State Law.
