A launch celebration was recently held at Jefferson Family Health Services (FHS) in Washington Township, NJ, for its expanded Behavioral Health program.

Since 2017, Jefferson’s Family Health Services at Somerdale Square (Somerdale, NJ) has offered Behavioral Health screenings and treatment for thousands of area residents, services funded through a $225,000 grant from The Nicholson Foundation to implement the Cherokee Health Systems’ model for providing integrated Behavioral Health service in a primary care setting.

That program has proven so successful that Jefferson has now been awarded an expansion grant from The Nicholson Foundation, for $140,000, to bring the same screening/treatment program to Family Health Services in Washington Township, Gloucester County, NJ.

Through a specially trained Behavioral Health Consultant, screenings and treatment are offered to thousands of area residents facing behavioral health, anxiety and substance issues, freeing up our physicians to address their medical concerns.
