Lawnside Senior Citizens Receive New Activity Bus

Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. joined Lawnside Mayor Mary Ann Wardlow to present the keys to a new activity bus to Lawnside’s seniors. The bus was purchased with the help of $80,000 in Community Block Development Grant Funds.

Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr. joined Lawnside Mayor Mary Ann Wardlow and Lawnside officials on June 28th to present the keys to an activity bus to Lawnside’s senior citizens.

Cappelli said: “Lawnside has a very active senior citizen population, and this handicap accessible bus will be put to great use in the borough by seniors of all ability levels. I congratulate the mayor and council of Lawnside for making this a priority for their community, and am proud that the county could assist them in their efforts.”


The bus was purchased with the help of $80,000 in Community Block Development Grant Funds administered by the Camden County Office of Community Development.

The full-sized bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift.
