Mt. Ephraim Police Charge Runnemede Man, Close Three Burglary Cases

Mt. Ephraim Police filed charges against Brandon Laxton of Runnemede with regard to three separate burglaries that had taken place on May 22.

The Mt. Ephraim Police Department announced today that three burglary cases are now closed because Brandon Laxton, 25, of Runnemede, has been charged in those incidents.

The Mt  Ephraim Police Detectives investigated two burglaries and one attempted burglary, all three of which occurred on May 22 at three separate locations within the Borough.

On June 5, 2017, following a two week investigation, the Mt. Ephraim Detective Bureau charged Laxton with:

  • Two counts of burglary
  • One count of theft
  • One count of criminal attempt/burglary

Most of the stolen items were returned to their owners. However, some of the proceeds were unrecoverable, the post stated. “As a result of the diligent work of Mount Ephraim Police Detective Sergeants Bill Errigo and  Brandon Siefert, a similar crime in Runnemede was also linked to Laxton and charges are pending there as well.”

Laxton will appear in Camden County Superior Court to answer these allegations.
