Orthopedic Spine Surgery Program at Virtua Memorial Receives Top Designations

Virtua Memorial Hospital Burlington County has been designated an Aetna Institute of Quality® Orthopedic Care Facility for spine surgery and Blue Distinction® Center for Spine Surgery by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.

Burlington County, NJ – Virtua Memorial Hospital Burlington County has been designated an Aetna Institute of Quality® Orthopedic Care Facility for laser spine surgery and Blue Distinction® Center for Spine Surgery by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.

Aetna makes information about the quality and cost of health care services available to its members to help them make informed decisions about their health care needs. In line with this goal, Aetna recognizes hospitals and facilities in its network that offer specialized clinical services for certain health conditions. Facilities are selected [IOQ] for consistently delivering evidence-based, safe care.


Blue Distinction® is a nationwide program of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) that recognizes facilities that have demonstrated expertise in delivering high quality healthcare and improved outcomes for patients.
