Over 600 Job Seekers Recently Attended Gloucester County Workforce Development Board’s MEGA Job Fair

The Gloucester County Workforce Development Board (WDB) hosted their annual MEGA Job Fair on Friday, Oct. 11 at Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ). 

The event filled RCSJ’s gymnasium with over 600 job seekers and over 100 businesses looking to fill positions on their teams.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, “The Mega Job Fair is one of the largest job-seeking resources the region has to offer. These events provide an opportunity for businesses to find eligible job seekers whose skills match what they’re looking for, and for job seekers to network and to see what businesses interest them.”

Freeholder Heather Simmons, Liaison to the Department of Economic Development, said, “The Workforce Development Board ensures that job seekers are prepared to show off their most marketable skills by offering workshops before the fair focusing on key aspects including resume writing, interview techniques and more to help them impress employers.”

“We are excitedly awaiting the numbers on how many of our attendees found a job through the event, and how many employers were able to fill their open position,” Simmons added.
