The annual All-State Band auditions took place on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at John P. Steven’s High School in Edison, NJ.

Students from New Jersey’s three Regional Honor Bands are eligible to register for the audition.
The Cherokee High School Instrumental Music Department directors and administration sponsored seven students for The All-State Band auditions.
The Cherokee High School Band Director, Michael Lynch, attended the auditions as a Region III representative for the All-State Band Procedures committee.

Mr. Labenski will represent Cherokee High School in Atlantic City during the New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA) convention on February 25 and 26, 2022, and perform at the NJPAC in Newark, NJ on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
In addition, Mr. Labenski will perform with the All-State Orchestra at the NJEA Convention in Atlantic City on November 10 and 11, 2022.
