South Jersey COVID-19 Response Fund Grant Helps Families In Dire Need Through The All Things Are Possible Foundation

ATAP Foundation was created to offer life-changing, developmental programs with an emphasis on academics, athletics, awareness, and the arts.

The staff at the All Things Are Possible (ATAP) Foundation had to close temporarily when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, but the grant from the Community Foundation of South Jersey allowed them to support area families facing loss.

In 2020, ATAP was serving 35 to 40 students daily, at Friday night STEAM programs and on cultural trips. As COVID-19 spread, ATAP leaders thought it best to close the center. Over the coming months, ATAP staff saw families struggling with physical needs and were able to help them thanks to the CFSJ grant.

They purchased a larger building across the street from their leased property and used funds from CFSJ to purchase supplies and protective equipment so that they could safely serve the community again.

In June 2020, ATAP re-opened its doors. Keeping social distance was a challenge, especially for students who needed that encouraging hug, but they did their best to run outdoor activities and function safely.

As virtual learning became inevitable at school, ATAP joined the virtual world, serving kids through a robust full-day in-person program where they helped each child log into their respective school’s Google Classroom to complete their virtual learning requirements.

In 2022, flexible schedules allowed parents to be home more with their kids and schools added free before and after care, so ATAP developed new programs—an expanded Club Cool Kids STEAM program, and 3 new teen programs that are now blossoming.

They also began sharing their facility to assist other nonprofits, while also learning to adapt and grow in new ways and the CFSJ grant helped.
