Bellmawr Council’s Feb. 23, 2017 Resolutions

Bellmawr Council will vote on Amended & Restated Bond Ordinances at its February 23 meeting, which will authorize the acquisition of various capital equipment and improvements in the Borough, authorize the acquisition and construction of a water tank, and also authorize the reconstruction and/or repaving of various roads.

In advance of its monthly meeting, the Borough of Bellmawr has uploaded various Resolutions that Council will vote on at its February 23 meeting.

Among the Resolutions Council will vote on include the approval of:

•The list of Bellmawr Fire Department volunteers who qualify for credit under the Length of Service Awards Program (LOSAP).

•The Borough’s participation in the Safe and Secure Communities Grant Program. The Borough wishes to apply for funding of approximately $20,500 with a match of $128,673 for an approximate project total cost of $149,173.

•A grant application and to execute a grant contract with the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) for the reconstruction of Kennedy Boulevard.

•A Shared Services Agreement with the Bellmawr School District for purchasing equipment and materials for the school’s parking lots during inclement weather.

A contract in the amount of $8,000 with Independent Animal Control Services, LLC for the period of March 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017.

Bond Ordinances

Council will also vote on the following Bond Ordinances:

•Amended and Restated Bond Ordinance #02:04-17 appropriating the sum of $2,091,100, which authorizes the acquisition of various capital equipment and completion of various capital improvements in the Borough.

•Bond Ordinance #02:05-17 appropriating the sum of $676,460 for the purpose of reconstructing and/or repaving various roads in the Borough.

•Amended and Restated Bond Ordinance #02:06:17 appropriating the sum of $2,800,000 for the acquisition and installation of a water tank at the intersection of Warren and Carter Avenues.

Council will meet on Thursday, February 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the Courtroom of Borough Hall.
