Cherokee Students Receive The Art Excellence Award at Burlington County Student Art Exhibit

Cherokee students Jordan Cravins, senior, and Vicky Carvajal, junior, received The Art Excellence Award at this year’s Annual Burlington County High School Student Exhibition.

Cravins’ winning portrait depicts her sister’s face viewed through a glass of water, using graphite and colored pencils.

Carvajal’s winning self-portrait depicts herself reaching for a glass ornament, created with colored pencils.

Artwork is currently on display at The Center for the Arts in Southern New Jersey, located at 123 South Elmwood Road, Marlton.

The historic home, built in 1785, is located on the grounds of Indian Spring Golf Course and is used as a fine arts gallery and school.

The exhibit is free and open to the public through Friday, March 25.
