Couple Indicted in Death of Glou. City Toddler

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester City Police Chief Brian Morrell report a Grand Jury has returned indictments for a man and a woman charged in connection with the death of a 2 year-old Gloucester City girl.

Michael Disporto, 22, of Manahawkin, NJ, was indicted on one count of first-degree Murder, one count of first-degree Felony Murder and one count of 1st-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault and Amber Bobo, 26, of Gloucester City, was indicted on one count of 2nd degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the death of Bobo’s daughter, 2-year-old, A. S. of Gloucester City.


A Grand Jury returned the 4-count indictment on Thursday, October 6, 2016.

Police and Emergency Medical personnel were called to the 100 block of South King Street in Gloucester City around 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2016. The victim was transported by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and pronounced dead at approximately 6:25 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2016.

Disporto, the boyfriend of Bobo, was charged on Thursday, July 7, 2016 with the sexual assault and murder of the child.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
