The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office reported that a sole, fatal motor vehicle accident occurred shortly after midnight on December 15 on Route 41/Hurffville Road in Deptford Township.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office as Andrew B. Davoli, 27, of Turnersville. Davoli had been driving southbound on Route 41/Hurffville Road in Deptford Township when the 2013 Ford Taurus that he was driving crossed the center line and crashed into a tree at the entrance of Beneficial Bank and the offices of the Gloucester County Probation Department.
Davoli had just fled from the scene of a motor vehicle stop conducted by an officer with the Deptford Township Police Department, the Prosecutor’s office stated.
Davoli was alone in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at Inspira Hospital in Woodbury. There were no other injuries.

The accident is being reviewed in accordance with the New Jersey Attorney General’s vehicle pursuit policy.
