BRANCHVILLE, NJ: Infiniti Energy Services (IES) has completed construction on a 2,988 kW/DC solar project at the headquarters of Selective Insurance Group, Inc., at 40 Wantage Avenue, Branchville, New Jersey. The project consists of 7470 LG 400 Watt Modules.
“We are proud to be working with Selective Insurance on its renewable power facility investment,” said Michael Kushner, President of Infiniti Energy Services. “This is an exciting project that will provide long-term environmental benefits by reducing fossil fuel consumption. Our team worked closely with the developer, Sol Systems, in building a state-of-the-art system to meet Selective’s requirements.”

The solar panels will include DCE Racking, 36 Chint 60kW Inverters, a 2500KVA Transformer (480 volt – 12.4kv), and a 4000 amp Eaton Switchgear (4 – 1200 amp Eaton Sub Panels). The Point of Interconnection (POI) is at the 2300KVA Transformer 12.4kv (2000’ from Array to POI). The 2000’ Medium Voltage (12.4kv) runs from the transformer in an array field to the building POI.
“Selective Insurance is committed to environmental sustainability. By building this solar plant and selling all of its renewable energy certificates, we have greater visibility and control of over our energy costs and have generated a solid investment return,” said Mark Wilcox, Selective’s Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. “The amount of energy produced annually by our solar facility is equivalent to the power needs of 800 homes and eliminates approximately 2819 metric tons of carbon dioxide, the equivalent of the annual emissions of 599 passenger cars.”
