Ocean State Job Lot Purchases Former Toys ‘R Us Location in Deptford; 50 Full & Part-time Store Associates to Be Hired

North Kingstown, RI – (September 10, 2020) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), a leading discount closeout retailer headquartered in Rhode Island with stores throughout New England, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, recently purchased the former Toys “R” Us location at 409 Almonesson Road, Deptford, NJ.

Pat Gallagher, Brian Goodwin, David Judd and Brandon Anapol of Metro Commercial brokered the transaction. With a scheduled opening in late fall of 2020, this 44,165 sq. foot store is the 9th Toys ‘R Us location purchased since 2017.

The new store will be the retailer’s fifth in New Jersey, first in Southern New Jersey, and the 144^th in the chain. This location is across from the Deptford Mall which is currently being redeveloped.

Ocean State Job Lot is currently hiring for 50 full-time and part-time opportunities. Open positions include: Area Supervisors, Ad Coordinator, Department Heads, Field Merchandiser, Front End Supervisors, Operations Supervisor, Maintenance Associate, Receiver, Sales Associates, Stock Associates and Visual Merchandisers.
