The Arc Gloucester Thanks Mrs. South Jersey Shari Hulitt

The Arc Gloucester gives special thanks to Mrs. South Jersey 2022, Shari Hulitt.

For the past year, Mrs. South Jersey, Shari Hulitthas has used her title and platform to raise awareness and to inspire others to get involved with The Arc Gloucester, a nonprofit organization empowering adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as their families.

While Mrs. Hulitt and her family have been involved with The Arc Gloucester for 10 years as an advocate and volunteer, their connection digs deeper.

Mrs. Hulitt is the primary caretaker of her brother, Andy, who attends one of The Arc Gloucester’sday programs as well as their summer camp, Camp Sun N’ Fun.

As Mrs. South Jersey, Hulitt has volunteered for many of The Arc Gloucester’s events, such as their golf tournament and annual walk-a-thon.

In addition, she was the guest speaker at The Arc Gloucester’s annual in-service where she could speak directly with staff and share the impact the programs have had on her life as well as her brother’s.

Mrs. Hulitt has used her platform to help The Arc Gloucester achieve their vision of providing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with equal opportunities to live, work and socialize within their chosen communities.

It is thanks to supporters like Shari Hulitt that The Arc Gloucester has been able to provide much-needed services such as residential living, day habilitation, supported employment, respite services, and more since 1957.
