Two Suspicious Deaths Under Investigation in Atlantic City

These incidents are not thought to be connected at the early stages of both investigations.

On January 1, 2024, members of the Atlantic City Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit responded to two separate locations in Atlantic City for the report of a deceased male at both locations.

At approximately 6:15 a.m., Atlantic City Police responded to a 911 call regarding a male bleeding in the unit block of S. California Avenue. The male, later identified as Vincent O’Brien, III, 50, was transported to the Atlantic City Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his wounds.


Then, at approximately 7:34 a.m., Atlantic City Police responded to a 911 call at Michigan Avenue and the boardwalk regarding a male with multiple stab wounds. The male, later identified as Nazir Cintron, 22, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Autopsies are pending for both cases.

These incidents are not thought to be connected at the early stages of both investigations.

These incidents are being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit in cooperation with the Atlantic City Police Department.
