Bellmawr Looks to Enforce School Drop Off Zones

At Thursday’s meeting, Bellmawr Council is looking to pass an Ordinance that will prohibit parking or extended standing in “school drop off zones” at all three of the district’s schools.

According to the Ordinance, this will be in effect during arrival and dismissal times while the schools are in session between 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Zones will have proper signage and there will be painted lines on the parking lot, which will designate a drop-off and pick-up zone. Violators will be fined $50.00.

To help ease congestion at Bellmawr Park School, the Bellmawr Highway Department recently performed work to combine the drop off areas at the school and the Little League rear parking lot.
