Big Timber Junction LLC Seeks Site Plan, Subdivision Approval for New Park at Former Landfill; Hearing Set For April 3

Site Plan approval, subdivision, and other variances are requested.

Representatives from Big Timber Junction, LLC, Redeveloper will appear before the Bellmawr Joint Land Use Board on Monday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. for site plan approval, subdivision, and other variances to create a park at the former landfill along Creek Road in Bellmawr.

The subdivision is required by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP).

This is a story that we have been following for years and most recently, in August, 2022 we reported that an application for a Waterfront Development Individual Permit was submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Land Use Regulation for the Bellmawr Redevelopment Agency and Big Timber Junction, LLC project.

In that article, we also reported that further inland, other commercial improvements are planned, which include three distribution buildings with associated parking and internal driveways, but as of this writing, there are no updates on that.

The May, 2022 edition of the Bellmawr Bulletin, included a Bellmawr Waterfront Development Project Update along with a rendering of the Bellmawr Waterfront Park Trail. This new “waterfront park will be the most significant new park and recreation asset created in Camden County within the last 50 years.”

The April 3 Joint Land Use Board meeting is open to the public for anyone to hear the representatives present the plans for the park and to ask any questions.

The meeting will take place at Bellmawr Borough Hall, 21 East Browning Road.
