For the period December 2 through 9, the Gloucester City Police Department conducted 74 traffic stops, 264 property/business checks, made 25 arrests, investigated nine motor vehicle crashes, 10 domestic disputes, and impounded one abandoned vehicle. In other matters, on December 3 at approximately 9:34 a.m., an officer responded to the Budget Inn on Rt. 130 for a report of a motor vehicle theft. Upon arrival, the victim reported he picked up a female companion in Camden the previous evening and brought her to the Budget Inn. Sometime during the night, the female left with his vehicle. As of the time of this report, the vehicle has not been located. The investigation is ongoing.
December 2 at 11:01 a.m., Brian C. McCormick, 25, a resident of the 100 block of S. Burlington Street, was arrested on N. Broadway at Middlesex Street due to the fact he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and driving on a suspended license. He was later released on bail.
December 2 at 6:55 p.m., officers responded to Broadway at Salem Street for a report of a one vehicle crash into a fire hydrant. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Matthew T. Malekovich-Kershaw, 35, a resident of Deptford. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license.

December 3 at 1:40 a.m., John J. Gergley, 37, a resident of the 400 block of Highland Blvd. was arrested on N. Broadway at King Street due to the fact he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was later released on bail.
December 3 at 1:58 a.m., Jose L. Feliciano, 26, a resident of Camden, was arrested on Rt. 130 due to the fact he had outstanding warrants for his arrest as well as driving on a suspended license. He was later released on bail.
December 4 at 1:58 a.m., Randolf W. English, a Dorchester resident, was arrested on Rt. 130 at Klemm Avenue due to the fact he had an outstanding warrants for his arrest as well as driving on a suspended license and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was later released on bail.
December 4 at 11:10 a.m., Edward Vessella III, 41, a resident of the 400 block of S. Broadway, was arrested on Broadway at Market Street due to the fact he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was later released on bail.
December 4 at 9:02 p.m., Kevin R. Hatfield, 36, a Philadelphia resident, was arrested on 8th. Street at Hunter Street for possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance (heroin), possession of a hypodermic syringe, and obstruction of justice.
December 4 at 10:10 p.m., Robert Malinowski, 40, a Gloucester Township resident was arrested on S. Broadway at Cumberland Street due to the fact he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was remanded to Camden County Jail after failing to post bail.
December 4 at 10:58 p.m., Timothy L. Ross, 49, a Salem resident, was arrested in the 300 block of 8th. Street for defiant trespass.
December 6 at 10:56 a.m., officers responded to a residence on S. Burdsall Avenue for a report of two males in the rear yard. The residents dogs alerted her to their presence and the males fled into the wooded area of the adjacent PSE&G property. A search of the area by officers and a K-9 Unit was conducted. However, the males were not located. The investigation is ongoing.
December 6 at 5:24 p.m., a resident of Deptford reported her purse was stolen from inside her unlocked vehicle while parked on Sussex Street at Market Street.
December 7 at 11:07 p.m., an officer on patrol observed a male urinating in view of the public in the parking lot of the Quality Inn on Rt. 130. The male was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest. Ian L. Williams, 51, a resident of Cape May, was charged with urinating in public, possession of CDS (crack cocaine), and later released on bail.
December 8 at 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Oriental Avenue for a report of two males in the back yard. Upon arrival, the resident reported hearing a noise in the back yard and when she looked out, she observed two males running from her yard towards the Crescent Trailer Park. A search of the area for the suspects was unsuccessful.
December 9 at 1:13 a.m., Justin R. Fisher, 36, a resident of the 400 block of Monmouth Street, was arrested on Hudson Street at N. Sussex Street due to the fact he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was later remanded to Camden County Jail after failing to post bail.
