Ordinance Allowing Temporary Outdoor Restaurant Seating; Retail Outdoor Sales Display Areas in Brooklawn Up For Final Passage & Adoption June 15

As part of his restart and recovery plan, “The Road Back: Restoring Economic Health Through Public Health,” Governor Phil Murphy recently announced that New Jersey will enter Stage Two on June 15, 2020.

Stage Two will include outdoor dining for restaurants and indoor, non-essential retail as of June 15.

At their June 5, 2020 meeting, Brooklawn Council introduced and approved on first reading Ordinance # 4-2020, which allows for the issuance of zoning permits effective for 120 days to permit temporary outdoor restaurant seating and retail outdoor sales display areas at existing businesses, subject to zoning and construction code requirements, and other outside agency approvals

The Ordinance will be considered for final passage and adoption after a public hearing on June 15, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.
