Philadelphia Man Sentenced to 25 Year Prison Term For Shoot Out With Police Officers

Earlier this year, Arthur DiSanto pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree attempted murder.

A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for firing at two police officers and striking one of them with gunfire on August 23, 2021, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.

On January 31, 2023, Arthur DiSanto pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree Attempted Murder, for shooting and striking one police officer, and he pleaded guilty to a second count of first-degree for shooting at another police officer.


On April 14, 2023, DiSanto, 42, was sentenced to a 25-year aggregate sentence. The court imposed a sentence of 12 ½ years on each first-degree Attempted Murder count, to run consecutively.

DiSanto must also serve two separate 5-year terms of parole supervision, which will also run consecutively for a total of 10 years of parole supervision upon his release from prison
