Weekend Shooting Death in Pennsauken Under Investigation

 

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Pennsauken Police Chief John Coffey announced a shooting death occurred over the weekend. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time, according to a statement released today by the Camden County Prosecutor’s office.


On Sunday, November 13 at approximately 2:14 a.m., Pennsauken Police responded to the Woodbine Catering and nightclub in the 1400 block of Route 73 in Pennsauken. Officers were breaking up a fight in the parking lot between patrons who were leaving a privately-promoted event when gun shots rang out from the other side of the building.

Officers immediately responded to investigate the gun shots and located the victim, Jamil Henry, 26, of Camden. Henry was lying on the ground and suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 6:04 a.m.
