Demolition has begun at Brooklawn’s Metro Diner (formerly Ponzio’s). The Metro is being demolished to make way for a super Wawa. Remember the Metro and your favorite meals forever by revisiting their menus!
Members of the Brooklawn and Deptford Fire Departments recently ran training drills at the closed Metro Diner. The Metro Diner closed its doors in early June and will be demolished to make way for a super Wawa.
The Brooklawn Planning Board approved the preliminary and final site plan for a new Wawa convenience store with fueling station to be constructed at the site of the Metro Diner.
Brooklawn Council is holding a Special Meeting July 10 to Vote on several Ordinances, including those that relate to a new WaWa.
The Brooklawn Planning Board reviewed various Ordinances regarding a new WaWa and also Ordinances to amend the Boro’s Land Use Code to add limited breweries, a/k/a “craft breweries.”
LCP Brooklawn has applied to the Brooklawn Planning Board “for preliminary and final major site plan approval, with variances, to demolish an existing diner and construct a new Wawa convenience store and fueling station, with parking, lighting and related site improvements.” The Brooklawn Planning Board meets June 14th.
