Jury Convicts Atlantic City Man of Terroristic Threats, Stalking, Retaliation Against Former Municipal Court Judge

Beginning in August of 2021 and culminating in April of 2022, Nathaniel Russell left violent and threatening messages for a former Egg Harbor Township Municipal Court Judge and stalked him for more than eight months.

On May 4, 2023, a petit jury convicted Nathaniel Russell, 59, of Atlantic City, on two counts of second-degree terroristic threats, one count of fourth-degree stalking, one count of fourth-degree retaliation for past official action, and one count of fourth-degree harassment.

The three-day trial began on May 2, 2023.


Beginning in August 2021 and culminating in April 2022, Russell left violent and threatening messages for former Egg Harbor Township Municipal Court Judge Marc Nehmad and stalked him for more than eight months.

Russell was arrested in 2021 after the initial threats were made and continued his tirade of calls.

This case was investigated by the Egg Harbor Township Police Department. Assistant Prosecutor Elizabeth White represents the State in this matter.

Sentencing Date

Sentencing is scheduled for June 7, 2023 before the Honorable Pamela D’Arcy, J.S.C.
